Dos Pesos Mexican Restaurant: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Belleville

I’m a Botana lover, without meat. I grew up in SW Detroit and LOVE Dos Pesos Botana! It’s my favorite ! I sometimes wish they were open later (9 during weekdays and 10 Friday and Saturday) to satisfy my craving.

Great food, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff. Our outstanding & attentive waitress, Nikki, guided us to the Chicken Breast Quesadillas, and they were a delicious cure for a cold Friday afternoon. Highly recommend!

I had the Shrimp Fetija and it was well seasoned with rice. The rice almost tasted like Spanish rice well seasoned. My son had hamburger and fries and he said that it was delicious. The burger was not skimpy. Our server was so attentive and kind. Our meal came close to $50. The Shrimp had a special seasoning. The seasoning was spicy.

Great Mexican food. Their stewed meat is so delicious, it comes on the wet burrito and the Mexican pizza, both so good! Guacamole is very tasty as well. We drive a ways to eat here. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Margaritas during Happy Hour is a must. A wide selection of yummy food. Our waitstaff, Nikki, was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The birria, enchiladas, deep fried tacos, and wet burritos were the bomb dot com.

Went in for lunch it was decorated so cute We had gotten the flautas and enchiladas. Both of them were so tasty, so was the chips and salsa. The service was absolutely phenomenal. The waitress was so attentive to every need. Even the other woman we encountered was very, very kind. The food was so good. We will definitely be back soon. It was very clean as well.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant when I was in the area on a work trip. I ordered the wet burrito which came with a Mexican beef stew topping, and it was to die for. I’ve included a photo for reference. I also ordered the Mexican hot chocolate, which is perfect for today’s chilly weather. If you are in Belleville, this place is worth a stop. Also, a big shout out to Nikki for the great service too!

Came in to try the food for the first time and it was nice. We were seated right away (came in around lunch time). The booth was a bit uncomfortable as it felt like it was old and had lumps. Not the end of the world though. I ordered a Diet Coke and it was delicious! Top notch. My kids ordered Dr. Pepper and said it was good. The chips and salsa were just ok, salsa was runny and had no veggies in it. I ordered a beef chimichanga with cheese on top, and guac on the side. It was delicious! The guac was some of the best guacamole I’ve ever had. The rice was good, beans were a bit runny, next time I’d probably get double rice and skip the beans. My kids got the cheeseburger/fries and the chicken tenders/fries, and both said they were good. Took a long time to get our food though, even with not very many people there. It was very good and we will be back.
